The dreads themselves can be made in synthetic or woollen materials & made as SE (single ended) or DE (double ended) dreadlocks depending on how much volume you are after. Depending on your wash routine braid ins can last 6-8 weeks before needing to be reinstalled & the set of dreadlocks you choose to purchase can be reinstalled over & over again making it quite cost effective with little to no damage to your hair. I’m not sure I want to commit to permanent dreads, How long do braid in dreads last?īraid in dreads are a great way to try out dreads before taking the plunge into a permanent style.
